Prajna Prabodhan Varg

Talent Development Program

Founded in 2017, Prajna Prabodhan Varg is Jnana Prabodhini’s unique educational program for high-ability, middle and high-school students in Pune. Committed to the aim of ‘Motivating intelligence for social change’, Prajna Prabodhan Varg offers challenging and engaging experiences especially suited to the children with high intellectual and creative potential. Through weekly sessions and summer programs, students in the program develop holistic competence in intellectual, social, and emotional domains. The program runs in two stages: Kishor Program and Kumar Program.

Kishor Program: The foundational two-year Kishor program enrolls students from grades 5 to 7. Through several activity-based courses, the students learn important skills in creative and critical thinking, logical reasoning, literary engagement, and independent learning (self-study skills). The program especially focuses on developing collaboration and leadership skills essential for the 21st century problem-solving. Students attend 25 weekend sessions and a summer residential program every year. The program is an interesting and stimulating mix of classroom-based sessions conducted by specialized teachers, talks by field experts and motivational role models, hands-on activities, field visits, independent projects, group work, and exploratory activities such as trekking and residential camps.

Fees: Rs. 23,600/-(including GST) for 30 weekend sessions and summer camp

Kumar Program: The advanced program aims to develop domain-specific mastery and exposes students to a variety of courses typically not offered in school curricula at that age. These courses include psychology, architectural creativity, advanced sciences and mathematics, language and creativity, film making, data science, and many more.

Fees: Rs. 23,600/-(including GST) for 30 weekend sessions and summer camp

Enrolment: We enrol 80 students (40 girls and 40 boys) per program through multiple selection criteria. The advanced nature of the program requires students to provide evidence of high potential through any one of the many standardized intelligence tests. We also encourage the use of a combination of teacher nominations, parent nominations, self-nominations, product evaluation, and school records. We encourage students to join the program in the first year and continue until the final year.
